Gila County Building Safety Advisory and Appeals Board Member Reappointments

Background Information

Bruce Binkley is an architect and his term of office on this board will expire on December 31, 2018. Through December 31, 2018, Mr. Binkley will have served 5 years and 8 months on this board. He has agreed to serve another 4-year term of office.

Bob O'Connor is an HVAC contractor and his term of office on this board will expire on December 31, 2018. Through December 31, 2018, Mr. O'Connor will have served 10 years and 9 months on this board. He has also agreed to serve another 4-year term of office.

Evaluation

It would be beneficial to Gila County for the Board of Supervisors to reappoint Mr. Binkley and Mr. O'Connor to the Gila County Building Safety Advisory and Appeals Board as they have many years of experience serving on this board.

Conclusion

The Board of Supervisors has the responsibility to appoint members to this governing board; therefore, the Board should consider reappointing Mr. Binkley and Mr. O'Connor to the Gila County Building Safety Advisory and Appeals Board for another 4-year term of office.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors consider reappointing Mr. Binkley and Mr. O'Connor to the Gila County Building Safety Advisory and Appeals Board for another four years.

Suggested Motion

Approval to reappoint Bruce Binkley and Bob O'Connor to the Gila County Building Safety Advisory and Appeals Board for the 4-year term of office beginning January 1, 2019, through December 31, 2022.
