The Gila County Division of Health and Emergency Services (GCDHES) has selected the most appropriate bid from our request for proposals that went public. This work will provide needed operational and programmatic public health emergency preparedness consultation services for planning deliverables required by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). Awardee will assist with the coordination and collaboration efforts of GCDHES in meeting the federal grant obligations related to planning, operating, exercising and developing emergency preparedness plans and partnership agreements needed to operationalize preparedness plans. Additionally, the contractor is to develop a direct marketing campaign that addresses the current opioid epidemic and the dangers surrounding it, and utilizing these reported methods of delivery. In collaboration with the health department, contractor the contractor will create a campaign (social media, mass communication, and visual marketing) that raises public awareness and informs residents about the dangers around misusing and abusing opiate drugs. This information will be uniform and consistent with current work being done in our communities. This campaign will utilize the most appropriate media outlet(s) to push information and education on a consistent basis. This will also include assisting in increasing our epidemiological support and surveillance, developing public information materials and additions to our website, and implementing and evaluating the informational campaign.
