Request/Subject

Gila County Public Works received an application and petition to begin the process to vacate portions of Olive St., Hobart St., and Maple St. as shown on the map of Arlington Heights Official Map No. 31, Gila County Records. Arlington Heights is in the unincorporated area of Globe.

Background Information

Arlington Heights was recorded in 1911. Some of the roads and alleys in the subdivision have never been constructed or completed. Many have been vacated in the past. These roadways have never been built.

Evaluation

Abandoning these roads will not deny anyone access to their property.

Conclusion

It is in the best interest of all involved to begin the process to vacate these roads.

Recommendation

It is the recommendation of the Director of Public Works that the Board begin the process to vacate portions of Olive St., Hobart St., and Maple St. as shown on the map of Arlington Heights Official Map No. 31, Gila County Records.
