Request/Subject

Gila County Public Works received an application and petition to begin the process to vacate a portion of an alley as shown on the map of Inspiration Townsite, Official Map No. 39, Gila County Records. Inspiration Townsite is located in the Claypool area of the County.

Background Information

Inspiration Townsite was recorded in 1914. Some of the roads and alleys in the subdivision have never been constructed or completed; many have been vacated in the past. This alley has never been built and adjacent alleys have been vacated in the past.

The petitioner owns the adjacent property on both sides of the alley.

Evaluation

Abandoning this alley will not deny anyone access to their property.

Conclusion

It is in the best interest of all involved to begin the process to vacate the alley.

Recommendation

It is the recommendation of the Public Works Division Director that the Board begin the process to vacate a portion of an alley as shown on the map of Inspiration Townsite, Official Map No. 39, Gila County Records.
