Request/Subject

Adoption of Resolution No. 15-12-01 authorizing the disposal of an unnecessary public roadway, and authorizing the Chairman to sign a Quit Claim Deed to deed the property to Clyde A. Elmer.

Background Information

During the regular scheduled meeting of the Gila County Board of Supervisors on November 17, 2015, the Board accepted a bid in the amount of $145.00 from Clyde A. Elmer for the purchase of a portion of Canal Street.

Evaluation

The bidder has met all of the requirements of the current Gila County policy to abandon roadways in Gila County.

Conclusion

The next and final step in the process is for the Board of Supervisors to adopt a resolution which authorizes the disposal of a portion of Canal Street, and to authorize the Chairman's signature on the Quit Claim Deed to deed the abandoned roadway to Clyde A. Elmer.

Recommendation

It is the recommendation of the Public Works Division Director that the Board of Supervisors adopt Resolution No. 15-12-01 and authorize the Chairman's signature on the Quit Claim Deed.

Information/Discussion/Action to adopt Resolution No. 15-12-01 authorizing the disposal of an unnecessary public roadway being a portion of Canal Street located in Little Acres between Lot 12 and Lot 21, as shown on the map of Fairmont Acreage, Official Map No. 45, Gila County Records, Gila County, Arizona, and authorize the Chairman's signature on the Quit Claim Deed conveying the abandoned roadway to Clyde A.
