Request/Subject

Resolution No. 15-11-01 Authorizing Execution of IGA/JPA (Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) File No. IGA/JPA-15-0005498-I) with ADOT for the appropriation standards for railroad crossing related appurtenances on Grover Canyon Road in Globe.

Background Information

The Agreement requires a match from Gila County in the amount of $6,496.00 for the County’s share of estimated construction costs.

Evaluation

Currently no signals exist at this crossing.

Conclusion

Installation of signals will provide improved safety at this crossing for the public and the residents of the area.

Recommendation

It is the recommendation of the Public Works Division Director that the Board of Supervisors adopt Resolution No. 15-11-01 which authorizes the execution of Intergovernmental Agreement No. JPA/IGA 15-0005498-I.

Information/Discussion/Action to adopt Resolution No. 15-11-01 which authorizes the execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement (ADOT File No. IGA/JPA 15-0005498-I) between Gila County and the State of Arizona, Department of Transportation for the appropriation standards for railroad crossing appurtenances on Grover Canyon Road located in the Claypool area of Gila County.
