Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 019-0444 with Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens Area Agency on Aging, Region V.

Background Information

For the past 15 years, Gila County Housing has received funding from Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens Area Agency on Aging to provide emergency minor home repairs to eligible citizens residing in Gila County.

On August 7, 2018, the Gila County Board of Supervisors approved Contract No. 019-0444.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 019-0444 increases the contract reimbursement ceiling from $6,242 to $10,226 of which said funds will be used to provide home repair and renovations to eligible households in Gila County.

Conclusion

By approving Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 019-0444, Gila County Community Services Division, Housing Services, will receive additional funding to assist eligible citizens with home repair and renovations.

Recommendation

The Gila County Community Services Division Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 019-0444 so that Housing Services can continue to assist eligible citizens with home repair and renovations.

Suggested Motion

Approval of Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 019-0444 between the Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens (PGCSC), Area Agency on Aging, Region V, and the Gila County Community Services Division, Housing Services, whereby PGCSC will raise the reimbursement ceiling to $10,226 to be used for home repair and renovations to eligible citizens residing in Gila County effective July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019.
