| Amendment No. 1 on three (3) Contracts for On-Call Design and Architectural Services-Canyon Country Design, DLR/WRL, and Robert Polcar Architects, Inc |
| Background Information |
| On November 07, 2017, the Board of Supervisors awarded three contracts for on-call design/architectural services for vertical building projects that involve remodeling and design. The contracts were awarded to Canyon Country Design, DLR/WRL, and Robert Polcar Architects, Inc; for the period of November 07, 2017, through November 06, 2018. |
| Evaluation |
| The three contracts expire on November 06, 2018. The contract allows for four additional one-year renewal periods at an annual cost of $100,000 per contract; therefore, staff recommends that the contracts be renewed for one additional year, from November 07, 2018, to November 06, 2019. |
| Conclusion |
| Staff feels it is in the best interest of Gila County to renew these contracts for another 12 months. Having more than one on-call design/architectural company on contract will enable staff to have professional concepts and drawings readily available for remodeling or construction. This should speed up the process for future remodeling or building projects. The companies are Canyon Country Design, Inc., DLR Group/WRL and Robert Polcar Architects, Inc. Each contract has a “not to exceed” contract amount of $100,000 per year. |

| Public Works Division Director recommends renewing the contracts with Canyon Country Design, Inc., DLR Group/WRL and Robert Polcar Architects, Inc. for one additional year, whereby Canyon Country Design, Inc., DLR Group/WRL and Robert Polcar Architects, Inc.will provide on-call design/architectural services for vertical building projects that involve remodeling and design. Contracts amounts may not exceed $100,000 per year. |

| Approval of Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 070317-1 Canyon Country Design, Inc.; Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 070317-2-DLR Group/WRL; and Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 070317-3-Robert Polcar Architects, Inc. to extend the term of each contract for one additional year (November 7, 2018 to November 6, 2019) in a not to exceed amount of $100,000 per contract for continued on-call design and/or architectural services. |
