Request/Subject

Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with Navajo County for repair of a portion of Route 12 in Gila County.

Background Information

Route 12 within Gila County provides the primary access to the community of Cibecue, which is within Navajo County. Navajo County desires to repair a portion of the roadway to improve access to the Cibecue community.

Evaluation

Pavement repairs of Route 12 are needed and will improve access to the community of Cibecue.

Conclusion

A signed IGA between Gila and Navajo County’s will allow Navajo County the ability to work in Gila County.

Recommendation

Staff recommends the Board approve an IGA with Navajo County for work on a portion of Route 12 within Gila County.
