Background Information
On May 29, 2020, the Gila County Finance Department electronically submitted the Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program Grant Application in the amount of $57,348. The grant application had to be submitted online no later than May 29, 2020.
Evaluation
The Gila County Sheriff's Office needs digital radio capabilities that allow interoperable multi-agency communications during emergency situations.

On May 29, 2020, the Gila County Finance Department electronically submitted the Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program Grant Application in the amount of $57,348 for the performance period of July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021, to provide the Sheriff's Office with 800 HHZ Analog/Multi-Protocol Digital Portable Radios that will allow interoperable multi-agency communications during emergency situations.
Recommendation
Gila County Sheriff J. Adam Shepherd recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the electronic submission of a grant application for the Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program in the amount of $57,348, for a performance period of July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021, to provide the Sheriff's Office with 800 HHZ Analog/Multi-Protocol Digital Portable Radios that will allow interoperable multi-agency communications during emergency situations.
