Amendment No. 1 to an Intergovernmental Agreement (Contract No. DI20-002263) between the Arizona Department of Economic Security (ADES) and the Gila County Community Services Department.
Background Information
On June 16, 2020, the Board of Supervisors approved an Intergovernmental Agreement Contract No. DI20-002263) to provide programs and services under the Community Services Department's Community Action Program to pursue the reduction of poverty, the revitalization of low-income communities, and the empowerment of low-income families and individuals to become fully self-sufficient.
Evaluation
Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. DI20-002263 revises the Case Management services reimbursement ceiling for the period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 from $350,678 to $437,139, which includes $86,461 in CARES Act funding. It also revises the Community Services service reimbursement ceiling for the period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 from $360,000 to $472,500, which includes $112,500 in CARES Act funding.

The Case Management Itemized Service Budget and the Community Services Itemized Service Budget are included for the period of July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021.
Conclusion
If Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. DI20-002263 is approved, the Case Management service reimbursement ceiling will be revised to reflect an increase to $437,139, and the Community Services reimbursement ceiling will be revised to reflect an increase to $472,500 for the period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.
Recommendation
The Gila County Community Services Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve Amendment No. 1 to an Intergovernmental Agreement (Contract No. DI20-002263) so that the Gila County Community Services Department can continue to assist eligible Gila County residents.

Information/Discussion/Action to approve Amendment No. 1 to an Intergovernmental Agreement (Contract No. DI20-002263) between the Arizona Department of Economic Security and the Gila County Community Services Department to increase the Case Management service reimbursement ceiling to $437,139 and increase the Community Services service reimbursement ceiling to $472,500 for the period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 to provide continued Community Action Program services.
