Receive an update on the activities of the Payson Senior Center; and request approval to support public transportation services for disabled and aged persons within the Towns of Payson and Star Valley in the amount of $25,000; and to approve Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 121818 between Gila County and the Payson Senior Center for transportation services.
Background Information
On February 19, 2019, the Board approved an agreement granting the funds to the Payson Senior Center for transportation services for disabled and aged persons. The Payson Senior Center is once again requesting support from Gila County in the amount of $25,000 for the next period of performance October 1, 2019, through September 30, 2020, for transportation services for disabled and aged persons. Agreement No. 121818 allows for up to three one-year renewal periods.
Ms. Joanne Conlin, Chairperson of the Payson Senior Center Board of Directors, has asked to provide an update of the activities of the Payson Senior Center.
Evaluation
A.R.S. § 11-267 allows Gila County to provide financial support to the Payson Senior Center to provide transportation services for persons with disabilities and persons sixty years or older.
Conclusion
Request approval of Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 121818 to continue providing funding to the Payson Senior Center to provide transportation services for persons with disabilities and persons sixty years or older.
Recommendation
It is recommended that Ms. Conlin should provide the Board of Supervisors with an update of the activities of the Payson Senior Center. Staff recommends approval to support public transportation services for the Towns of Payson and Star Valley in the amount of $25,000; and approval of Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 121818 between Gila County and the Payson Senior Center for its transportation services to persons with disabilities and aged persons within the County.

Information/Discussion/Action to receive an update on the activities of the Payson Senior Center; and approve Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 121818 between Gila County and the Payson Senior Center in the amount of $25,000 to support public transportation services for disabled and aged persons over sixty for the Towns of Payson and Star Valley for the period October 1, 2019, to September 30, 2020.
