Approve revised Exhibit A of Resolution 18-08-01, which is the FY 2018-2019 Tax Levies and Tax Rates Table to reflect the correct tax levy rate for the Pine Creek Canyon Water Improvement District.

Background Information

Each year the Board of Supervisors approves the Tax Levies and Tax Rates Table which sets the tax rates for the upcoming year for each jurisdiction. On August 20, 2018, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 18-08-01 providing for the collection of taxes for the jurisdictions listed on Exhibits A and B of the Resolution.

The Gila County Finance Department communicated the incorrect tax rate information which resulted in an error on the tax bills that affected 175 property owners in the Pine Creek Canyon Domestic Water Improvement District. The correct tax rate in Area Code 1274 should be $2.7497. It was incorrectly reported as $5.4993.

Evaluation

The Board of Supervisors needs to approve revised Exhibit A to Resolution No. 18-08-01 which shows the corrected tax information for the Pine Creek Canyon Domestic Water Improvement District.

Conclusion

After revised Exhibit A to Resolution No. 18-08-01 is approved by the Board of Supervisors, the Resolution with Exhibits A and B will be re-recorded.

Recommendation

The Finance Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve revised Exhibit A of Resolution 18-08-01.
