Request/Subject

Rimside Grill Application for Temporary Extension of Premises/Patio Permit for October 16, 2010.

Background Information

On September 7, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved an application submitted by Tamara L. Morken to temporarily extend the premises/patio of the Rimside Grill in order to serve liquor in both the regular permitted area and extended area for 9/19/10, 9/25/10, 9/26/10 and 10/9/10. After the September 7th BOS meeting agenda had been finalized, Ms. Morken advised the Chief Deputy Clerk of the BOS that the 9/19/10 event was cancelled and the 10/9 event was rescheduled to 10/19. At that time, the Chief Deputy Clerk advised that the initial application should still be submitted to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control if approved by the Board of Supervisors in order to hold the September events and she requested Ms. Morken to submit a separate application for the 10/16 event, which has been done.

Evaluation

Ms. Morken has submitted a correct application per Gila County and State Department of Liquor Licenses and Control (Department) requirements.

Conclusion

This application is ready to be presented on a Board meeting agenda for the Board's decision on the application. If approved, the application will be forwarded to the Department for final approval.

Recommendation

The Chief Deputy Clerk recommends that the Board of Supervisors issue an approval recommendation to the Department. This application has been reviewed and approved by the Community Development Division.

Suggested Motion

Approval of an Application for Extension of Premises/Patio Permit submitted by Tamara L. Morken to temporarily extend the patio area of the Rimside Grill in order to serve liquor in the permitted area and the extended area for the date of October 16, 2010.
