Request/Subject

Amendment No. 1 to Funding Agreement No. 530-20 between the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) and the Gila County Community Services Department, Community Action Program (CAP), for State Housing Trust Fund (HTF) - Rental/Eviction Prevention Program funding.

Background Information

Funding Agreement No. 530-20 was approved by the Gila County Board of Supervisors on April 7, 2020.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 1 to Funding Agreement No. 530-20 will provide additional funds in the amount of $25,000 for Eviction Prevention Assistance, $2,500 for Support Services, and $2,500 for Administration for the purpose set forth in the Scope of Work, based upon funding available under the Eviction Prevention Program related to COVID-19 Eviction Prevention Assistance. The total contract budget will be increased to $130,000.

Conclusion

If Amendment No.1 to Funding Agreement No. 530-20 is approved, the Gila County Community Services Department, CAP, will continue to assist eligible Gila County residents with eviction prevention rent.

Recommendation

The Gila County Community Services Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve Amendment No. 1 to Funding Agreement No. 530-20 so that CAP can assist eligible Gila County residents with eviction prevention rent.

Suggested Motion

Information/Discussion/Action to approve Amendment No. 1 to Funding Agreement No. 530-20 between the Arizona Department Housing and the Gila County Community Services Department, Community Action Program, to increase the total contract budget to $130,000 of State Housing Trust Fund (HTF) - Rental/Eviction Prevention Program Funds to be used through March 31, 2021, whereby the Gila County Community Services Department will assist eligible Gila County residents with eviction prevention rent.
