Amendment No. 3 to Independent Contractor Agreement 2019-20 Utility Assistance Programs (Contract No. 07012019-20) with Arizona Community Action Association d/b/a Wildfire.

Background Information

Contract No. 07012019-20 was approved by the Gila County Board of Supervisors on July 23, 2019.

Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 07012019-20 was approved by the Gila County Board of Supervisors on October 15, 2019.

Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. 07012019-20 is scheduled to go before the Gila County Board of Supervisors for approval on December 17, 2019.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 3 to Contract No. 07012019-20 will increase the Arizona Public Service Crisis Bill Assistance Program (APS BA) funds by $42,370, whereby the Direct Service amount will increase to $63,943, and the Program Delivery amount will increase to $12,789, for a total of $76,732.

Conclusion

By the Board of Supervisors approving this amendment, the Gila County Community Services Department will receive additional APS BA funding to be used to assist eligible Gila County Residents with utility bill assistance.

Recommendation

The Gila County Community Services Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve this amendment in order for the Gila County Community Services Department to provide utility services.

Suggested Motion

Information/Discussion/Action to approve Amendment No. 3 to an Independent Contractor Agreement (Contract No. 07012019-20) between the Arizona Community Action Association d/b/a Wildfire and the Gila County Community Services Department whereby the Arizona Public Service Crisis Bill Assistance Program (APS BA) funds will increase by $42,370, the Direct Service amount will increase to $63,943, and the Program Delivery amount will increase to $12,789 for a total of $76,732 to be used to provide utility bill assistance to eligible citizens residing in Gila County for the period of July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020.
