Gila County Building Safety Advisory and Appeals Board Member Appointment

Background Information

Peter Oddonetto resigned from the Gila County Building Safety Advisory and Appeals Board in the latter part of 2018. His term of office expires on December 31, 2019. Mark Taylor, a general residential contractor, has agreed to fulfill Mr. Oddonetto's unexpired term of office.

Evaluation

It would be beneficial to the Gila County for the Board of Supervisors to appoint Mr. Taylor to the Gila County Building Safety Advisory and Appeals Board as he is an experienced general contractor.

Conclusion

The Board of Supervisors has the responsibility to appoint members to this governing board; therefore, the Board should consider appointing Mr. Taylor to fufill Mr. Oddonetto's unexpired term of office.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors consider appointing Mr. Taylor to the Gila County Building Safety Advisory and Appeals Board for the term of office that ends on December 31, 2019.

Suggested Motion

Approval to appoint Mark Taylor, a general residential contractor, to the Gila County Building Safety Advisory and Appeals Board to fulfill Peter Oddonetto's unexpired term of office through December 31, 2019.
